Martin and I dropped by some warm clothes on the hopes Martha will transfer to rehab tomorrow on schedule. (For folks who aren't local, it has been VERY warm here most of the winter, but we are finally getting some actual "wintry" weather, including the threat of snow, sleet, ice and then rain tomorrow.) We have not heard the "go" order from Dr. Krisht but we also haven't heard any reason he won't approve it.

Martha warmly greeted me and Martin as we arrived in her room, but a few minutes later her cell phone rang and when we got it to her, she wasn't really talking much. The call was from her church friend in Alma, and I was disappointed Martha wasn't able to respond. She also didn't really "connect" with a phone call to Amanda. SO she was more confused and less communicative today. The nurse said this bout of confusion started last night, though she has stretches of lucidity. The nurse said she was quite perky when Dr. Krisht made his rounds in the morning. Needless to say, eating was a challenge, but with a lot of persistence I was able to get her to drink quite a bit of a serving of tomato soup. Martha is still quite agreeable, however, and laughed along with us when we were laughing. Pam came by but wasn't able to help her eat any more; she had been up in the chair quite awhile and was probably really tired.

We saw today's First Presbyterian worship bulletin on her table so we know someone came by for a visit earlier in the afternoon. Thank you, whoever you are!

Amanda had a less good day today than yesterday. At her insistence Martin and I left her alone at home, and we probably should have arranged someone to be with her as we had Saturday. Obviously even when she is feeling slightly better, her full recovery could take quite a long time.
