Martha continues to improve at home! She has several visits per day from nurses and speech, occupational, and physical therapists, and she is working toward no longer needing either the supplemental oxygen or her walker. She is down to using 1 liter (per minute?) of oxygen, but mostly at night. The therapists are working with her to improve her balance, which is the only reason she's still using the walker. (She's plenty strong enough.) They have even been having her walk more outside. Tasha and Tim have continued checking on her daily, but she has been doing really well on her own, including managing her medicines. (She and Tasha enjoyed being outside for a nice long visit today.) Her doctor is slowly reducing a few of her medications, as her blood pressure has been going a bit low. Martha feels like it won't be long before she's able to start going back to worship services and other church events.

On our side of town, Amanda has finally been able to get her medicine dosage up to the recommended amount... it took several weeks of slow increases. Her acupuncturist has been able to manage the stress the medicine puts on her heart, and feels like she is getting better. We did overdo it a bit today... she and I walked to, from and around Laurel Park this morning and the hot sun was a bit much. But we enjoyed it!
